Logistics Quality and Safety
Univar Pharma Ingredients can simplify suppliers' European supply chains
Univar has continued to invest in its warehouse infrastructure to create a centralised European ‘hub and spoke’, meeting the pharmaceutical industry's GTDP guidelines. This means suppliers can reduce their delivery points to a single warehouse and still be confident that their pharmaceutical customers receive the product locally from one of our 49 warehouses. Our logistics experts can work with suppliers to optimise the best route to supplying customers based on demand patterns.
Our customers benefit from a full European GTDP supply chain and specialist services such as repacking and blending. Univar has a rigorous rolling programme of auditing its warehouses and distribution network to ensure it meets the pharma industry standards. This is done using external ESAD auditors including all pharma related sub-sections or internally benchmarked against the GTDP guidelines. They have all been audited by current pharmaceutical customers.
This comes on top of Univar's overall commitment to safety and the protection of the environment as a top priority. Univar remains:
- An industry leader in care of the environment, health and safety
- A commitment extending into our local communities and beyond our sites
- Our unique U+ SHEQ management programme sets new standards for the industry
