This voluntary chemical distribution action programme signals the global chemical industry's commitment to the continuous improvement of all aspects of Environmental, Safety and Health performance. Univar leads the development of Responsible CareTM for chemical distributors in many European countries. All of our operations follow the Responsible CareTM Guiding Principles and we have developed them further through our unique U+ management system
Across Univar's operations, employees are qualified in all relevant aspects of safety and correct operational practices. Our facilities are ISO 9001:2000 certified with some holding additional ISO14001 (Environmental Management) certification.
In addition, as member of the ESAD programme, our sites are audited independently for EHS-Q performance. This joint programme between chemical suppliers and distributors further demonstrates our commitment to the chemical industry Responsible CareTM programme.
