Univar has been appointed distributor in Germany by VlNAVIL S.p.A

Antwerp, Belgium – 16th April 2009 – Univar is proud to announce that it was officially appointed by VINAVIL S.p.A to sell and market its complete range of polymer dispersions and redispersible powders for the coatings and construction industries in Germany.
Univar will distribute the whole range of vinyl acetate/ethylene dispersions (VINAVIL®) and acrylic polymers (CRILAT®) for coatings applications as well as the redispersible powders (VINAVIL®) for the building industry.
This agreement that was confirmed at the European Coatings Show in Nuremburg earlier this month, will allow Univar to expand the choice of solutions it offers to manufacturers in Germany. In addition, it will give VINAVIL a broader road into the German market, as it will benefit from Univar’s industry knowledge and extensive facilities network.
Commenting on this partnership, Dirk Seidel, Business Manager Chemicals said, ‘Univar is very pleased to announce this cooperation with VINAVIL, a leading Italian producer and one of the leading European companies in this market. It will allow us to offer advanced and environmentally friendly solutions and services to local manufacturers in Germany. In particular, we will bring them alternatives which are in compliance with new Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) standards.’
Silvio Pellerani, VINAVIL’s Global Sales Director said that appointing Univar as a distributor for the coatings industry in Germany is ‘a further step in strengthening our position in the market which complements the decision taken some years ago to open a local German VINAVIL office led by Dr. Peter Langensee.’
VINAVIL is already present in more than 30 countries around the world and has a clear target of increasing its position in specific markets where, through its strong R&D capabilities and expertise, it will be able to meet the latest health & environmental requirements.
