Univar appoints Sonia Pires as head of SHE/Sustainability

Brussels, Belgium – 24th February 2010 – Univar, a leading global chemical distributor, has announced Sonia Pires as the new EMEA leader for Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) / Sustainability. Univar’s strong sales and marketing teams complement chemical producers and create value for customers. The company provides technical expertise in application development, excellence in logistics support, and outstanding customer service to help its partners grow their business.
Pires, who joined Univar on 1st February, has an impressive background and accomplishments in the field of SHE and Sustainability at blue-chip companies such as GE Healthcare, GE Water and Process Technologies and DSM Resins.
