Univar Extends Dow Personal Care Agreement in Several Countries in Europe

ROTTERDAM, The Netherlands – April 2, 2012 – Univar Inc., a leading global chemical distributor announced today that it will add France and Benelux to the scope of its long-standing agreement to distribute Dow’s specialty personal care ingredients.
Today, Univar will begin marketing and selling the full range of Dow’s legacy Rohm and Haas personal care specialty ingredients in France and Benelux. These include Acudyne™ Hair Styling Polymers, Aculyn™ Rheology Modifiers, Opulyn™ Opacifiers, SunSpheres™ SPF boosters and Soltex™ Water Resistant Polymers.

Univar has distributed Dow’s personal care ingredients across Europe for many years, continually expanding its product portfolio and geographical reach. On 1 January 2012, Univar began to distribute Dow’s legacy Rohm & Haas personal care portfolio in Italy, Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden, in addition to their existing Dow personal care activity. In addition, at the start of the year Univar began distribution of the legacy Dow Personal Care ingredients (formerly marketed by DOW’s Amerchol business) in Portugal and Spain.
Univar’s dedicated personal care specialists will be on hand at in-cosmetics (stand D20) in Barcelona from 17-19 April 2012, demonstrating the company’s comprehensive range of personal care ingredients. Building on its global network of laboratories, technical expertise, and shared best practice, Univar is able to offer its partners in the sector access to the latest products and innovative concepts from around the world.
