Univar Personal Care has further strengthened technical support capability for its Customers by opening a new European laboratory, located in Brussels. 

Managed by Sandra Léonard, European Technical Manager, an expert in emulsion technology/sun care/toiletries and rheology, the initial activities of the new laboratory are:

• Sample campaigns: as of April 2008, Univar Personal Care now formulates interesting concept finished product samples (based on supplier formulations) to better demonstrate to customers the innovative properties of our suppliers’ chemical products.
• Technical expertise and knowledge transfer: laboratory-based training programmes are used to further develop the industry and technical understanding of our Personal Care Sales team ensuring that they can exceed customer needs when discussing chemical product solutions.

As the experience of the laboratory grows, Univar Personal Care plans to use the laboratory to develop our own creative and fashionable formulations, to undertake joint technical initiatives with customers and to work on projects with our strategic suppliers.
