Univar reinforces its Personal Care and Household & Industrial Cleaning expertise in the Middle East

Brussels, Belgium – 31st May 2011 – Univar Inc., a leading global chemical distributor, announced today the appointment of Lancelot Allego as Regional Sales Manager, Personal Care and Household & Industrial Cleaning for the Middle East.
Lance, who has extensive experience in the personal care industry, particularly in hair and skin care technology, joins Univar from Cognis where he worked for 14 years, most recently as Technical Sales Manager, Personal Care and Household for the Middle East region. Prior to that he held Development Chemist and Production Management positions with manufacturing companies in the Philippines and Saudi Arabia. He also has extensive Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) supplier and customer experience.
Lance’s appointment is the latest supporting Univar’s commitment to recruit local sales and technical service representatives in the Middle East region who will develop commercial activities and technical projects with local customers in these countries. Because Univar offers the same quality services across the Middle East and North Africa as it does in the rest of the world, customers here will be able to take advantage of the company’s global strength and the expertise of its European Personal Care and Household and Industrial Cleaning teams including laboratory capabilities and technical support.
